These materials will enhance the science and sensory interest centers in our classroom. Students will have a greater variety of materials and topics to explore using their senses. Sensory play helps children make brain connections, develop language, and can also be very regulating. Sensory experiences naturally encourage children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore. Some materials that I am most excited about for my students are a butterfly exploration kit, dinosaur fossils, a K'nex building set, and magnetic water blocks. My Pre-Kindergarteners will be so excited!
