Flexible seating provides students with the learning environment they deserve. Some students can sit in a regular chair, while some needs to stand up or curl on the floor. That is the position that they can focus while learning. The floor table, wobble cushions, and comfy couch will meet the needs of all of my students. I can't force them to sit still and complete classwork if they are not comfortable in their position. Differentiation is not only providing students with the right level of the text, learning materials, and assessment but accommodating the need in the physical environment. If I have to promote the love of learning, then I must provide a safe and warm learning environment.
