I have several students in each class that would benefit by having standing desk options. I have been inspired by instructors in newer schools that have reading and instructional areas that include high-rise tables, bean bag chairs, synergy balls and a Couch! Starting with the standing desks will be a new opportunity for this pathway. I am trying to provide my students with the best possible learning environment. Unfortunately, we have older desks that take up a LOT of room. My future plans include synergy ball seating and stools with bar-height tables. By building an updated classroom, my students will have the opportunity to visualize their future classrooms instead of remembering the 'tired, old room' that they were educated in. .
