All of my students will benefit from flexible seating in the special education room. The bands for the chairs will help my students move their feet and be able to fidget while staying in their chairs. This will allow students with ADHD and other disabilities to remain focused on the task at hand. The exercise ball bouncy chairs will allow my students an alternative to chairs if they choose. Lastly, the lap desks will allow students another place to sit such as the floor and still be able to bear down on something to do their work. I want my students to have the option to choose where they sit so that they are comfortable and ready to learn. Flexible seating also allows students with sensory disorders to choose a place to sit. My students will love that they have the choice to sit in a chair with a band, sit on the floor with a lap desk, or sit on the exercise ball bouncy chair.
