Our Health classroom goal is aimed at generating a more engaging and enriching learning experience AND establishing good habits around daily exercise. So much research has been done about the link between our brains and our bodies. I believe that we learn best when we are moving, so our students are out of their seats as much as possible. We are requesting pedometers to use to track our exercise, steps during class. I want students to see how much they can do even during a 25-30 minute time frame. From a young age, I had good role models that taught me the benefits and importance of a healthy, active lifestyle. I teach PE and Health because I’m passionate about educating young people and encouraging the habits of active living and this role allows me the opportunity to engage with all the students in my school.
