Our school has been a Project Lead The Way Gateway Distinguished school from 2019-2021. This is a hands on technology-centered curriculum. With this we also have a continuing Robotics Club, a new Makers Club, and we are working to establish a National Society of Black Engineers junior chapter at school. To help support these activities, a Cricut Maker 3 cutting plotter would allow for team building and fundraising opportunities. This would enable our scholars to create custom club and spirit shirts, motivational decals, and club branded merchandise. They could also fundraise in the school with school logo items. The computer controlled plotter is an approachable introduction to Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) equipment. Together, the technology, entrepreneurial, and design teaching benefits make this system ideal for our needs.
