Crowded classrooms make it difficult to see all students. It is especially difficult when I am seated at the front of the classroom while using the projector camera. Not being able to see all students can allow for some students to be off task. A standing desk will ensure that I see all students at all times while using the overhead projector. All students will remain on task when they know I can see them. There will be no place to "hide" when I am working at full height! This will also allow me to more readily see which student or students might be having difficulty during whole class work.
