Our budget is extremely limited and we have not been able to purchase the percussion instruments we need. We currently have a couple of student bell kits for melodic percussion parts but they can only do so much. The level of music my students are playing now has stretched us to the point where we can't get by without a xylophone any longer. We have been coming up with alternative instrumentation for the percussion instruments we don't have for the past 3 years. The fundraising we have done this year has got us close to what we needed. However, our music budget was cut in half and our program grew by two more performing groups.
