Giving students laptops will enhance student learning in my classroom by enabling live interaction with digital science tools. I also teach students whose native language is not English so this will help me translate material for them so they can thrive. The laptops would enable my students to work individually or in small groups. Having access to this technology allows for deeper exploration. As we continue to move further into the digital age, many science standards include the use of digital science tools. Digital and interactive science tools are a powerful way for students to experience first-hand concepts in action. Without increased access to technology and devices, students will continue to miss out on critical learning experiences.
