My main goal this year is to get student excited about reading! I want them to fall in love with books. Stats have proven that children that do not know how to read by the third grade, will not learn how to read which makes success very difficult. The books, book boxes and laptop will compose my "Powerful 3". Children are encourage to manage their own learning by choosing their own books which will be carried in their own book box, then they may listen to these books in our class laptop. Putting these tools in students' hand will help them learn to read and instill a love for reading.
