Having a white board at the very center of my classroom will help my students see their learning targets and expectations for projects, allowing them to spend more of their class time working on their projects. My students need a White Board in the classroom to clearly see important information, upcoming due dates, and examples of artwork. A white board not only helps my students organize and prioritize their time spent in the art room, it also gives me a large space to draw examples and provide demonstrations to reach my visual learners. Currently we use large sheets of butcher block paper to demonstrate and brainstorm ideas, the downfall is the inability to erase and to write or illustrate with a dark writing utensil so all students can clearly see.
