We need trifold presentation boards, graph paper, colored card stock, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, and punch out letters. Our students will be taking their learning into their own hands by creating a statistical question to ask their peers and social media. They will then create several different graphs (histogram, box and whisker plot, line graph, bar graph) to display their findings as well as doing several calculations to compare data sets (mean, median, mode, range). They will then present their findings to peers, teachers, as well as administration. The students will be scored on their calculations, their presentation boards, and their verbal presentations. We hope to encourage students to take center stage and become responsible for their own learning.
