My students thoroughly enjoy avoiding sitting. Rather than battling this, I've accepted the need for flexible seating. Too often these kids are constrained to sitting for 6 hours a day. I love allowing students the opportunity to move and learn about the room as they please, as long as it doesn't create problems for others. These pillows will allow students to create islands of learning when in my room. Student focus increases when they have the option to move about the room. However, sitting on a hard concrete floor does not sound appealing to most. Adding pillows, giant pillows, to my classroom will allow more learning to occur.
