My students are working on a project based on aerospace engineering. As a team they will design and construct small scale radio controlled aircraft. These include a number of airplanes, a drone and even a blimp. Each aircraft is designed to complete a mission that will be demonstrated during our school’s exhibition in the Spring. This invokes teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills as well as enhancing their abilities to learn new things. Together in classified groups: Pilots, Airframe, Avionics, and Managers, my students will learn a better understanding of design and execution in their project. The materials needed include electric motors for propulsion, the associated electronic controllers, an aerial camera, and parts for airplane construction.
