My students are all special education students with severe behaviors. The types of disabilities served in my classroom are; autism, emotionally disturbed, traumatic brain injury, non-verbal students, and others. I am seeking this chevron energy for learning grant to help my diverse population of students succeed. My classroom serves as the vocational classroom and aims to prepare the students for life outside of school. We are a self-contained program within our school district. All of my students have been kicked out of their "home" school due to the severity of their behaviors. I serve a wide range of academic levels in my classroom, from pre-k to college level. This makes teaching extremely challenging at times.
