My students are a diverse group of first graders that are eager to learn in every way possible. They absolutely love coming to school, because it is not only fun, but a safe place that many of them could call home. They come from many different backgrounds that make our classroom interesting. My students attend a very low income school. Our school is a Title 1 school with 85% free and reduced lunch. So many of my students live in poverty. Our school welcomes them with open arms and tries in every way possible to provide these students with the Tender Loving Care that they hunger for. My students remind me of the "Very Hungry Caterpillar"...as they learn, they want you to teach and provide them with more...more...and more!
