I have a goal to transform my classroom into a flexible seating space where kids have many choices of what type of seat would be most comfortable while creating, collaboration and learning. Consider where you sit at home to read, work on the computer or play a game. I am more productive in a comfortable seat and I have a hunch my students will be, too. Some folks prefer to stand while they work, which is why I also have plans to add a high top table in my room. Others love sitting closer to the ground with a clipboard so I have ideas for cushioned rockers as a choice. For those kids who love to tilt or rock (and often fall out of their chair), I have selected stools that wobble which will keep them safe as the wiggle and fidget. I am extremely excited to have an engaging learning space that matches the physical needs of my energetic, active 3rd & 4th graders. I greatly appreciate your consideration in donating to my cause.
