Our students are overwhelmingly Hispanic. Our school is in its fourth year and will finally have its first graduating class from this family of schools! For some of our students, each day is a struggle. Some speak little English, but want specialized attention they can't get at a local high school. Others wake up around 4 am to take a trolley to attend our school. Some are under constant threat of deportation and most come from families that are spread across multiple countries. In spite of their challenges our students are focused on succeeding, improving their lives and that of their families, and countering both cultural stereotypes and generational poverty.

About my class
