The community garden will be for the entire title 1 school children, teachers, families and community. It will bring the school to life with more outdoor learning adventures such as; reading outdoors, nature journaling, math in making the measurements for the garden, a weather station, bird feeders, flower beds, science with plants and insects, social studies with studying ancient gardening in the past with native Americans and early settlers. The garden will introduce environmental awareness with a rain barrel, and waffle gardening techniques to catch water which is precious in the desert. Students will learn about nutrition which is useful and vital for many in our community school are suffering from poverty, homelessness, and live in harsh conditions without electricity and water.
