Throughout the entire school, interactive whiteboards are in use on a daily basis. Students are flourishing through whole-class instruction in which they are able to be an active participant in their learning. These 2-dimensional interactive tools are allowing them to build a foundation for life-long understanding. However, due to a lack of funding, my classroom was left out during the technological updates. While every other class is benefiting from the advances being made, I am unable to keep up with my colleagues and use programs specifically designed to be interactive. I am plan to utilize this technology in my classroom in order to not only develop skills needed to be successful in the years to come, but also to prepare my students for a future where the use of these interactive technologies will be prominent.
