We currently use a web-based curriculum in music class for all grade levels. Unfortunately, many of the activities cannot be utilized by the students because we don't have desktops or laptops in the classroom. By having laptops, students will be able to get the full advantage of the curriculum. They'll be able to create original melodies and rhythms, play standards based games, do research, and even listen to various genres of music. In addition, we need a printer so they can print their work when completed. Also, at the end of some activities, students are awarded certificates. With a quality printer, they'll be able to print their certificate and take it home.
