At my school, project-based learning is strongly emphasized. I am trying to do a cross-curricular project with the Math teacher using the book If the World Were a Village. Using this text, students will create infographics to explain the information presented. In order for our students to successfully create these infographics, they will need a plethora of materials. Students will be required to create charts, tables, images, and written text using technology and old school materials like paper, markers, etc. It would also make this project much easier (and save tons of copy paper) if each student had access to a copy of the text. My students have been going through materials fairly quickly thanks to their investment in past projects, so my hope is that be acquiring new materials for them to use, they will continue with their enthusiasm throughout this project!
