The special needs students that come to my Engineering and Technology class need the requested LEGO Education WeDo kits so they can participate in activities similar to the regular ed students. My class uses EV3 LEGO Robotics and VEX robots to teach the engineering standards, however, the material is to complex for the special needs kids. The WeDo kits will give the kids an opportunity to complete robotic challenges with a paraprofessional's guidance so they will have similar learning opportunities. These kits come with a wonderful self-guided curriculum and software that will stimulate the students' imaginations and challenge them with leveled STEM activities.
