We call our Resource Room "The Learning Center" because all types of learners come here during the day. We house students with hearing impairments, students with mild to moderate learning disabilities, and students that need some extra help getting to grade level in reading and math. Most of our students learn in multiple learning styles. We address their needs by teaching all subjects with lessons that can be heard, seen, felt, and responded to orally. We even try to come up with ways to link the lesson to the senses of taste and smell! Our students need repetition and practice using the same tools daily. New matching calculators would be a wonderful start to a great education in math.
