The chessboards will allow more students to practice chess and allow us to host chess tournaments against other schools. Chess will help the students with their thinking skills that will assist students with their learning. Chess makes students learn to see the big picture as they must look at the whole board to be successful in the game. Students will also learn etiquette, such as determining who is white, how to touch the pieces, to shake hands after a game and how to use the clock . The game teaches tactical skills, patience, and the willingness to try their very best.
