Flexible seating in the classroom has shown to be beneficial to all learners and styles. I hope to give my students choice in their learning environment. Students with special needs and typical learners both benefit from choice, movement options, sensory options and gaining comfort! These seating options will meet the needs of all learning styles, while giving students a chance to make decisions on how to best meet their own needs and learning style. Although my students are young, I believe it is important to build the foundation now for students to advocate for themselves and their learning with becoming more autonomous in their decision making! My students need a variety of seating options to help them be more comfortable in their learning environment. I am asking for flexible seating options: lap desks, floor chairs and balance wobble stools.
