My students with special needs at South Milwaukee Middle School will be able to come into my classroom and pick a seat that works best for their learning. Not every student works their best sitting in a typical classroom chair and desk. This project will allow 15 students in a self-contained classroom to choose their seat and learn they way they learn best! Choose your seat! Need to roll around? Pick the rolly chair! Need to bounce? Pick the bouncy chair or stool! The National Autism Resource blog notes that flexible seating and wiggle seats greatly help students with Autism and ADD/ADHD focus, build core muscles, and lowers energy levels, thus helping students focus on school work. Can you help?
