My students value routine and diverse sitting options in the classroom. This gives them the opportunity to have their space on the carpet, while getting a variety of learning environments in out classroom community. This carpet will be a gathering space that will support not only their academic growth, but their social development as they engage in discussions with their neighbors and learn about appropriate personal space. This carpet will bring warmth to our classroom, and will help complete the community feeling that I try to bring to my students. I am hopeful that we can get this project funded!
