Many of our second graders are still struggling with reading and math skills as we move towards implementation of common core standards, in a mostly digital world. My students will be able to utilize a hands-on approach meshed with a digital world in both math and language arts at various levels. Students will be able to problem solve and learn critical thinking skills by utilizing the Osmo with an iPad in small groups. The Osmo will keep students engaged, learning, and happy. We are requesting 10 Osmo Genius kits to use with our classroom iPads in small groups for math and language arts. This will serve as an incentive for those students who still consider reading and solving math problems a chore.
