Use of Fire tablets allow my students more interaction with quality literature. My goal is for one reading center to use tablets so children can listen to reading and practice skills at their independent level, making them more fluent. More opportunities to read equals better readers! Although students have a variety of books in our classroom library, the Fire tablet makes use of the Kids A-Z app where my students get targeted practice on the phonics and comprehension skills they need most. It's individualized to each student's personal reading level and needs giving remediation where needed and acceleration where warranted! Everyone benefits!
