Because I have a mixed grade-level classroom (K-2), I have found that not all of my students have exactly the tools to accommodate their wide variety of needs and reading levels. I have some 2nd grade students in need of more books at a level that will challenge them during independent reading time. I also have many students with an enormous amount of energy to harness into their learning, so wiggle bands on their chairs will allow them to channel their energy into their work more productively. All of my students will benefit greatly by having clipboards to do their work in various locations throughout the classroom, rather than restricting them to working only at tables. The dry-erase markers and clipboards will also allow our whole-group learning to be more interactive for students who need to be actively participating in instruction at all times. Your donation will greatly help my incredible students to become better readers and writers this year, and flourish in a classroom environment that fits all their unique needs.
