My students need educational hands-on games to connect their understanding of literacy concepts and strategies. My students will use each of these games during literacy stations and during after school academics to practice skills they have learned in order to reach mastery. The file folder games and match & sort quickies will help students develop skills in reading literature, reading informational text, comprehension, grammar, writing, phonics and language, and vocabulary. The high interest intervention reading folders help to boost comprehension skills with high-interest lessons that turn struggling readers into confident readers! Reading comprehension bingo is a hands-on way for children to practice finding the main idea, identifying facts and opinions, predicting outcomes and more. The fluency & comprehension partner scripts provides an engaging opportunity for students to work with their peers to buddy read scripts as a way to increase fluency and comprehension skills. By fostering a love of learning and allowing students to have fun at the same time, these games and activities will allow my students to be successful while increasing skills that they need.
