My students are always on the go and ready to move even when they shouldn't. I have normal smaller size chairs in my room that students sit in during 3 out of 4 rotations. By having flexible seating, students will be allowed to sit in different seats which will cause them to pay more attention to their work! Flexible seating allows student to have more comfort, as well as a new environment in each place they go in the classroom. This allows my students to be more productive and be more engaged in their work. With 22 students in my class, having different seating options means that students will be more focused doing work or activities, and that means overall a better learning environment. The bean bag chair will be used as a cozy reading area for students to read with a buddy. The poly spot markers will serve as a option for students to sit on during rotations. Lastly, the go anywhere chair will provide another rotation option for students to work with one another on the floor but with back support.
