I teach reading to sixth graders. A lot of my students classify as special education. I have students with severe dyslexia who can’t read or write and would be able to use this technology to dictate their thoughts and express those in writing for the first time without assistance. I have students who are reading on a kindergarten level and would be able to use this to listen to grade-level books and also dictate their responses. Whether students have physical impairments, dyslexia or cognitive problems, assistive technology can help them function within the classroom. Success is attainable for every student.
