About my class

In our innovated learning space called the Self-Directed Lab, students have the opportunity to focus in on areas of growth and select task the that will help them meet their academic goals. We know that students need to be engaging with multiple texts a day in order to improve literacy, which is why we are looking to expand our library to give access to texts that will challenge their minds and capture their imaginations. As we begin to build out our lab, we want to be strategic in the ways that students are engaging with texts. We are hoping to get Kindle Fires in order to allow students access to more books than we can possibly hold in our library. This is because know that students will be required to read more and more text online throughout their academic careers and beyond, which is why we are hoping to get Kindles for our library. We also know the power of being able to hold a book, which is why we had added student requested choice books. Please support us as we strengthen our students' connection to literacy and develop their ability to lead their own learning!!!
