This project is a way for students to give back to their community and impact a life of an infant. Infant hats, are truly critical in the health and well-being of a newborn. These hats will be donated to Children's Hospital of Milwaukee, and other organizations that can utilize them. This is also a skill that they can take with them, since many of our students may have children early in life. Students will learn how to use a sewing machine to make several projects; specifically hats for infants. We will also be making pillow cases, and microwave potato bag (that goes along with our cooking classes). Overall, our students need skills that empower them to be self-sufficient and productive.
