My students spend at least 30 minutes of their day reading independently. They enjoy sitting around the room while they read but right now that means sitting on the hard floor. I want my students to enjoy reading time and be able to relax and feel comfortable while doing so. I believe having these over sized pillows will give them that opportunity. Some students need the opportunity to move while learning. For some of my students it is difficult for them to sit still for an entire lesson or activity. With having these wobble chairs in my classroom it will allow them to release extra energy in a way that is non-distracting to the other students. Not only will the students sitting in these chairs benefit but my entire class will benefit as well because their will be less distractions throughout the lessons and therefore all students will be more engaged.
