The data shows that in order to improve the reading achievement of our students we must increase their access to printed materials. Access to reading materials in the home has the ability to foster a love of reading while simultaneously showing students that learning doesn't have to just happen in the classroom. Through the formation of their own personal libraries, students will have greater access to books that THEY are interested in. This book will be the first step of many in creating life long readers and learners. Readers who see themselves in the pages in front of them and can actively create a space for themselves to grow.

About my class
