I chose powerful texts to use during our morning meetings that embrace individuality, love, compassion, and acceptance. I chose books like The Recess Queen and Moody Cow. I want to start each day with a powerful story that demonstrates how our actions toward others is far more powerful than the math and other academics we teach. I am excited to begin morning meetings so that my students know they are loved and accepted no matter what! We need a safe place to talk and start our day. I think this will be a wonderful, engaging way to begin each day together.
