Copy paper will be used for graphic organizers for reading comprehension, Social Studies research projects, and writing essays. Pencils always seem to be in short supply. Pencils will be used on a regular basis. Black marble composition notebooks will be used for reading response journals. They will respond to text that they read by writing on a daily basis. Chart paper will be used for anchor charts that will highlight reading, comprehension, and writing skills. These will be displayed in the classroom. The chart paper markers will be used to make the content on the anchor charts stand out in a colorful way.
