My students are very active learners and would benefit with the different options that flexible seating would provide for them during the day. They would be able to listen to their bodies and decide which place allows them to excel in their studies. Every student has a different learning style, and this environment would allow for them to find the best place to do their best learning. Students would get to choose from balance balls, stools, balance disks, standing, or just sitting in a regular chair. Research on brain-based classrooms say that flexible seating has been known to increase motivation and engagement, and improve behavior and academic performance.
