These Trauma Informed Care Packs will be instrumental in helping my students re-regulate themselves as they attempt focus on their academics, and not their fears, worries, and trauma. Snug Kids Ear muffs have proven to be extremely powerful in our school. Students who struggle with being triggered by over stimulation find these headphones to be life savers! Bouncy Bands are great for kids who "need to move!" Having a resistance band on their chair allows them to get their nervous energy out without distracting others with gross motor bursts. The weighted lap toys helps my kids when they are in crisis to feel a little more grounded and secure. The comforting lap pad also encourages students to "draw" their frustrations out in the changing colored material. This collection of quiet fidgets to help keep nervous hands busy, are extremely helpful in settling antsy students, all while giving a little extra sensory input. These Zenergy Chimes are an excellent way to refocus a class, without using raised voices, which can trigger some kids. These are also great for "mindful minutes," which is a great strategy to help kids feel back in control of their environment and emotions. The Resistance body bands are an excellent way for kids in crisis to find both comfort, and a positive release of frustration in stretching their bodies within the resistance bands.
