My students will make books trailers and other projects with their iPad mini. Book trailers are a great way for students to share books that they love with their peers. Talking about books and sharing books is a proven way for students to learn to love books. A love of reading is one key to success and my students really need to learn that love. Our school has a high amount of students who are eligible for free and reduced lunch. According to uniteforliteracy.com, our town is considered a "book desert" with only 30% of homes with more than 100 books which, makes our library so very important. I want all of my students to be successful in their life. The way that I can help them is by teaching them how to create content using technology, teach them how to write persuasively, and teach them to love books. You donation will help me achieve this goal. Thank you.
