I am a resource room teacher in a high school in my town. The students who I work with are fabulous humans. They are typical teenagers in every way. Can't we all remember how difficult it can sometimes be to be a teenager? In addition to the usual challenges that teenagers face, they all have IEPs. These are put in place due to learning disabilities, health issues, or various other disabilities that can make school more challenging for them; but they persevere. I get such joy in making the school setting work for them. I want the resource room to be a space where their physical needs are addressed and their need to learn differently and express that learning in non-traditional ways are available to them.

About my class
