Kindergarten is such an amazing time for students to develop a good foundation. I love writing and I want to instill that love of writing in my students right away. The books that I am requesting will be used as mentor texts for writing. These books are well written and will provide real life examples for the students. By using books that they enjoy to teach writing, it is my hope that they will want to become authors as well. Each of the books chosen represent a different writing genre and also show students that illustrations are just as important. By providing them with a solid writing foundation, they will be able to go on and provide the world with amazing writing!

About my class
