My students have a high interest in LEGO kits this year. However, due to the limited school budget, I have had to purchase most of the LEGO sets in my classroom. I would love to be able to expand my collection. The sets that I have chosen are mainly educational. This way I can incorporate learning into their play without them realizing it! They will be able to use the LEGO emotion characters to talk about their feelings and learn feelings. The community helpers kit will be used when we learn about the jobs in our community and what they do. Lastly, the farm and cafe set can be used in many ways as students practice counting, playing pretend, and patterning. Students will also use the LEGO kits to learn social skills.
