Being a unisex charter school our school caters to low-income young men in grades 6-12. We challenge them with only advanced option courses and higher level electives. We have just recently added sports team to what we offer for our students. These materials will help our students greatly. Although our students have the passion to play many of them do not attempt the sports as they do not have the funds to purchase even the most basic of equipment. Being able to provide shin guards, socks, and additional training materials would increase their participation and get more kids playing sports. Receiving this equipment would help teach these young men that people care about them and want to help them succeed. It will give students the basic equipment and training to learn the game of soccer. These shin guards, socks, and training equipment would be able to be used for many school year.
