My students need the Words Their Way leveled libraries! This will help my English Learners reinforce skill words and provide a meaningful context for phonics patterns. The correlated level library has six copies of the titles that go with our weekly word sorts from Words Their Way: Word Study in Action with English Learners program. Instead of just practicing word sorts on skills like short vowels or consonant blends, the correlated library would allow students to find words in context and practice the targeted skill. With the opportunity to apply new skills, my students' English would advance more quickly and bring them that much closer to their dream, plans and goals.
