My classroom is made up of 5th graders who love to learn while being active. We love to have fun and laugh while learning. I teach in a rural area that currently has a 100% free lunch rate. Often, families do not have the extra income to provide students with the basic needs in the classroom. As a teacher, I am constantly trying to keep students interested and engaged in school which includes purchasing classroom items out of pocket which can be quite expensive. I am hopeful that all of my students will come to school with a passion for learning and for life in general. I hope to inspire young minds to believe in themselves, try new things, and experience all life has to offer.
