As a part of our continued plan to expand technology and teach more media production skills, these iPads will be a part of our STUDIO. This space is dedicated to creation and media production. We have been working on this room this year to make it more efficient and usable for the students. This year we have painted a green screen wall, purchased lighting and a tripod stand, and now we are in need of the technology to make the magic happen. We initially thought that students could use their phones, but purchasing apps and assuming all students had a device with the capability to film and edit was discovered as not very effective. With our own devices, we can check them out to students working on production in the STUDIO. Our goal is to see students produce podcasts, videos, PSAS, and more all on their own. While our project is focused on work and creations in the STUDIO, we also know that iPads are versatile and they will have many other uses for students in the library throughout the year.
